Miervaldis Polis - painter, performance artist, founder and sole member of the Egocentre organization, skillful trick-taking game player, mushroom expert, sculptor, art history and theory amateur, also known as the Latvian "court painter". Polis has experimented with different styles - photorealism, trompe l'oeil (eye illusion), primitivism and symbolism.
